I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Seattle School of Psychology and Theology, where I was trained in trauma-informed psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have had the opportunity to work with women and children in community and mental health settings for over three years. During this time, I have received additional training in working with survivors of intimate partner violence, trauma, CBT, attachment, parenting support, and perinatal mental health. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, a Child Mental Health Specialist, as well as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C) and certified Circle of Security facilitator.
Through my own journey into motherhood, I realized the importance of having other woman journey alongside me during the life-changing seasons of pregnancy and postpartum. Each journey into parenthood is unique with its own distinct joys and challenges. It is a privilege to be with clients as they enter this season of transformation. I enjoy working with all birthing bodies and have a special place in my heart for parents of multiples.
I recognize that I live and practice my profession on the indigenous land of the Duwamish tribe. I am committed to my own healing and health, which includes engaging in my own racial identity development, identifying places of privilege in my life, along with purposeful engagement in my local community. I have had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Caprice Hollins, PhD, Davinah Simmons, MS, CLE, and Kit Danley, PHD. These women have influenced my understanding of racial identity development, multicultural counseling, and engaging in community activism.
When I'm not in the office, you can find me exploring the woods, raising my wild children, and drinking good coffee with a book in hand.
